She had aspired to be a knight because of a lord she had seen as a child, but after failing in her first real battle, she is sent to the even more remote planet of Aelias. Emma is forced to become the leader of an unmotivated and unresponsive unit, but she says, "I won't give up just because of this. I will become a knight of justice! She is a straight shooter, and some of the others are gradually inspired by her. Meanwhile, it is discovered that there is a pirate stronghold on Aelias.
